The alignment to the New Legislative Framework of 94/9/CE, EU directive No.2014/34/UE establishes all technical conditions to be applied and all pertinent evaluation procedures for the compliance. A potentially explosive atmosphere consists of a mixture of air, gases, vapors, mists or dusts, which can be ignited under certain operating conditions. Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres are used in many sectors: oil industry, mining, chemical, and even food. Directive 2014 / 34 / EU (with the result of the New Legislative Framework of 94/9/EC) lays down the technical requirements to be applied and their conformity assessment procedures prior to placing the equipment on the European market. In the EU, all explosion-proof equipment and systems fall under the ATEX Directive. This includes anything used within, or in conjunction with potentially explosive atmospheres such as safety, control and regulation devices and protective components, equipment and systems.
EU/2006/42 The Machinery Directive covers the essential requirements that all machines must grant as far as public health and safety concerns, starting from their design, to their manufacturing and functioning and before their launch on the market.
CSA International (Canadian Standards Association is, a member of the CSA Group and it is a provider of product testing and certification services for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, gas and a variety of other products. Recognized in the U.S., Canada and around the world, CSA's marks appear on billions of products worldwide. The certification is a process by which a facility, product, service or system becomes tested or inspected and certified in conformity with the applicable standard or other recognized documents. It is an ongoing process that involves follow up factory inspections and retail surveillance to ensure conformity. CSA International certifies products in the following categories: Gas Equipment: Food Processing and Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning, Commercial and Industrial Water Heaters and Boilers, Incineration, Accessories, Laundry Equipment, Portable Camping Equipment, Vehicle Fuel Systems and Industrial Engines, Gas/Propane Installation Codes, Fuel Cells but also Construction Products and Materials; Life Sciences; Electrical and Electronics; Telecommunications/Information Technology, Electromagnetic Compatibility; Energy: Performance, Renewable Energy and Efficiency, Energy Conservation in Housing, Fire Safety and Fuel Burning Equipment, Nuclear Facility and Reactor Components, Oil and Gas Industry Systems and Materials.
Export / Import and circulation of products in Russia, Belarus and
Kazakhstan are subject to the requirement of attestation of conformity
in the uniform customs territory of the EurAsEC Customs Union. The new
TR EurAsEC technical regulations, marking EAC of the Eurasian
conformity, replace national brands GOST R for Russia, STB for Belarus
and GOST K for Kazakhstan. The EAC mark stands for the Eurasian
certification, or in other words, mutual recognition of conformity
certificates and test protocols in the "Common Economic Space". By the
Decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EurAsEC) there were
approved the Common Forms of the Certificate of Conformity and the
Declaration of Conformity to Technical Regulations of the Customs Union.

The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU sets out the standards
for the design and fabrication of pressure devices and machines, in
order to harmonise the national legislations of the Member States as far
as the evaluation of the project, the production, the testing and the
conformity of pressure equipments and assemblies concerns. This
Directive regulates the design, manufacturing, equipment/equipage and
installation in safe mode of devices under pressure and it also follows
U.S. ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessels Code, Div. VIII Sect. 1 and 2. It
covers all containers under pressure, heat exchangers, steam generators,
boilers, industrial pipes, safety devices and pressure accessories.
Those toolings are widely used in the processing industries such as oil
& gas industries, chemicals, pharmaceutical, plastic, rubber, food
and paper.

testing, inspection, certification, auditing and validation. The UL Mark
is the single most accepted Certification Mark in the United States.

The ASME Certification Mark,
which is regarded as the hallmark of acceptance and certification, is
used to indicate that the stamped item(s) conform to the ASME Boiler and
Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), as well as the Bioprocessing Equipment
(BPE) Standard, and Reinforced Thermoset Plastic Corrosion-Resistant
Equipment (RTP-1) Standard. Utilization of the Certification Mark is a
means of complying with the laws and regulations in nearly all U.S.
States and Canadian Provinces. In addition, it has been estimated that
over 100 countries accept the ASME BPVC as a means of meeting their
government safety regulations. The quality systems of more than 7,000
companies in more than 70 countries are currently certified by ASME.
Whether or not an ASME Certification Mark is legally required, it
provides users with a high degree of confidence that the stamped items
conform to established safety standards.
