Activated Carbon Reactors

Raw gases produced by anaerobic digestion of organic matters and extraction from oil fields often require an accurate purification and treatment process in order to allow their usage in technological plants.

Although several methods exist for refining the raw gas composition, filtration with activated carbons (AC) is considered as an efficient and economical approach.

The impurities to be eliminated from the source gas typically include H2S (hydrogen sulphide), siloxanes and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).

Each component is however different and requires a customised package with tailored engineering as well the optimal type of AC.
Biokomp has developed its own gas filtration system, based on a proprietary reactor design, a selection of first-class adsorption molecules, and process control instruments in order to enhance the adsorption performance and minimize the operating costs.

Exclusive motors with custom inverter

Traditional compressor usually rely on standard motors with cheap drives, often leading to poor dependability and unstable operation.

Conversely, Biokomp uses heavy-duty motors with double bearings on both sides, specifically designed to operate at high speed along with proprietary driver's logic.

These vector-type, asynchronous motors achieve superior performances and instantaneous response thanks to the closed-loop field-oriented control, which offers direct torque control, real-time self-tuning vector function, and real-time adjustment of the rotor time constant according to the actual motor temperature.
